THE symbiotic relationship between golf's Singapore Open and Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong course has been on a high for a dozen years.

Since golf's annual showcase has been moved to the idyllic island's acclaimed course with the re-introduction of the popular event thanks to Barclays Bank's sponsorship in 2005, the tournament has been a hit with not just top regional golfers but also with the world's leading players.

So players such as Adam Scott, Ernie Els, Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Angel Cabrera, Ian Poulter and Sergio Garcia have graced the event which, the tournament aside, is known for many fringe activities that keep the fans engaged and enthralled. In fact, another offshoot that interests the fans is the availability of great merchandise at reasonable rates that fans can buy as keepsakes.
