WITH the doom and gloom on and off the pitch surrounding Singapore football, the common belief among followers is that there is a silver lining.
Local football is in such dire straits - or rather in the pits - that they say it has only one way to go now: up.
I am not too sure even about that. Failures to make it to the semi-finals of the 2015 Southeast Asia Games and last year's Asean Football Federation's Suzuki Cup were bitter pills to swallow.
