How will the return to office play out for the office market?
Hybrid working is here to stay, but the Singapore office market still has many positives going for it, including diversity of tenant mix
S SINGAPORE’S Central Business District awakes after hibernating for the most part of the pandemic years, a changed workplace landscape is emerging.
Workers are returning to offices, but it is evident that the hybrid work model – combining working from the office and remote work (typically from home) – is not expected to disappear.
One company that has made a decisive move is Dentons Rodyk, one of Singapore’s biggest and oldest law firms. Dentons revamped its office at UOB Plaza 1, reducing its space by 40 per cent from 60,966 sq ft to 36,618 sq ft, under a hybrid work model allowing its employees to work from home (or WFH) 1 to 3 times a week, shedding 2 floors of office space at UOB Plaza 1 in the process.
