Nio to be included in Hang Seng composite, tech indexes
NIO will be included in the Hang Seng Composite Index and Hang Seng Tech Index come Jun 13, it said in a bourse filing on Monday (May 23).
The Chinese electric vehicle maker, which was recently listed in Singapore by way of introduction, will become a constituent stock of both indexes, according to an announcement made by the Hang Seng Indexes Company on May 20.
The Hang Seng Composite Index is a benchmark which covers about 95 per cent of the total market capitalisation of companies listed on the Hong Kong mainboard.
Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Tech Index covers the 30 largest Hong Kong-listed technology companies that have high business exposure to technology themes.
Nio’s Class A ordinary shares were trading 0.1 per cent or US$0.02 higher at US$17.32 as at 9.08 am on Monday.
