PROPERTYGURU Group has appointed Ray Ferguson – currently the board chairman of Singlife Group – as an independent non-executive director and chairman of its board. The move will take effect from Jan 1, 2024.
Ferguson will succeed Olivier Lim, who has been board chairman of the property technology company since September 2019.
“Mr Lim has overseen PropertyGuru’s growth to a successful scaled-up business with significantly improved economics and consistent double-digit revenue growth,” said the company on Thursday (Nov 16).
Ferguson is also an independent non-executive director on the board of Paragon Reit, and the chairman and co-founder of yacht-building startup ZEN Yachts.
In addition, he is the non-executive chairman at fintech company Hashstacs.
Having been with Standard Chartered (StanChart) for 28 years across Asia, the Americas, the Middle East and Europe, Ferguson last served as chief executive officer of the bank in Singapore. He also served as chairman and director of several StanChart’s subsidiary boards.
Hari Krishnan, chief executive officer and managing director of PropertyGuru, said: “As we plan for our next phase of growth, I am personally delighted to be working with a seasoned chairman and business builder like Ray.”
