    THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Monday (Nov 6):

    DBS : The largest bank in Singapore reported on Monday a 16 per cent higher net profit of S$2.59 billion in the third quarter ended September, driven by a record high total income of S$5.2 billion. The lender declared a dividend of S$0.48 per share for the period. This brings the total dividend for the three quarters ended Sep 30 to S$1.38 per share. DBS shares closed up 1.9 per cent, or S$0.63, at S$33.29 on Friday.

    UOB : The bank’s customers had intermittent access to mobile banking and Internet banking services on Saturday. Its digital banking services appeared to be accessible again as at 12.42 pm on the day. Separately on Friday, UOB announced that it is planning two global partnerships in the entertainment space every year, tapping the globally thriving industry. Shares of UOB closed up 2.9 per cent, or S$0.78, at S$27.71.
