    THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Oct 6):

    SIIC Environment : The water treatment company’s indirect subsidiaries have signed an agreement to upgrade and expand a project in the Shanting district of Zhaozhuang in Shandong, China. This is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future performance, it said on Thursday. Shares of SIIC Environment closed unchanged at S$0.196 with no trades done, before the news.

    NoonTalk Media : The Catalist-listed media entertainment company is seeking shareholder approval at its upcoming extraordinary general meeting on Oct 23 to adopt a share purchase mandate. Its directors will decide whether to exercise share purchases on-market or off-market after considering the amount of cash available, the prevailing market conditions and the most cost-effective approach. Shares of NoonTalk last traded at S$0.098 on Tuesday.
