[SINGAPORE] The following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Nov 4):

UOB : The lender on Wednesday reported a 182.2 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit to S$1.25 billion for the third quarter ended Sep 30, 2026. The sharp rise was against a low base, following a 72 per cent plunge in the year-ago period, when UOB set aside S$1.36 billion in allowances for credit and other losses amid macroeconomic uncertainties and sector-specific headwinds. The latest earnings fell short of the S$1.38 billion consensus forecast from six analysts polled by Bloomberg. Shares of UOB closed 0.5 per cent or S$0.20 down at S$40.46 ahead of the news.

Singapore Exchange (SGX) : The bourse is set to accelerate its initial public offering process, with regulators streamlining listings on its mainboard and new Global Listing Board through a single review touchpoint and a six-to-eight-week timeline. From Jan 4, 2027, SGX Regulation will take on prospectus review functions for listing applications on both boards. The changes follow recommendations by the Equity Market Review Group to simplify listing procedures and encourage more local listings. Shares of SGX ended 0.4 per cent or S$0.08 down at S$20.24 ahead of the news.

CapitaLand Investment (CLI) : The asset manager posted a 3 per cent year-on-year decline in total revenue to S$1.5 billion for the nine months ended September, even as fee-related revenue grew 15 per cent over the same period. It is also targeting the listing of its second China commercial real estate investment trust (Reit) by the end of 2026, compared with an earlier target of Q2 or Q3. The counter ended Tuesday flat at S$2.38, ahead of the release of its business update.

SIA Engineering : The mainboard-listed aircraft and engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services provider reported a 1.7 per cent year-on-year decline in net profit to S$81.9 million for the six months ended Sep 30, as revenue fell 9.7 per cent to S$658.6 million. Earnings per share slipped to S$0.0732 from S$0.0745 a year earlier. The group declared an interim dividend of S$0.025 per share, payable on Nov 27. The counter ended 1.3 per cent or S$0.04 lower at S$2.94 on Tuesday, ahead of the news.

CSE Global : The global systems integrator secured S$434.9 million in new orders in Q3 FY2026, nearly three times from a year earlier, driven by strong demand for electrification solutions. This brought the group’s order book to S$728.5 million as at Sep 30, 2026. The new orders are not expected to have any material impact on the group’s consolidated net tangible assets per share or earnings per share for FY2026. The counter ended 0.6 per cent or S$0.005 up at S$0.915 on Tuesday, ahead of the news.

Manulife US Reit : The office Reit’s Q3 income available for distribution rose 30.3 per cent year on year to US$6 million from US$4.6 million, mainly due to higher net property income (NPI) and lower rent-free incentives at two properties. Revenue fell 8.9 per cent to US$24.9 million, while NPI rose 8.9 per cent to US$12.2 million. Distributions to unitholders remain suspended, the Reit manager said on Wednesday. The counter ended flat at US$0.032 on Tuesday.

iX Biopharma : The Catalist-listed drugmaker said its US$41 million contract with the US Department of Defense to develop Wafermine is independent of its proposed joint venture with Orion Specialty Labs, which has yet to secure an operating licence in Nevada. Secured in February 2026, the contract funds the development of Wafermine, a sublingual ketamine wafer for treating pain in military casualties. The company told The Business Times that its plans to manufacture the drug for the US military are not contingent on the joint venture. Shares of iX Biopharma ended 5.9 per cent or S$0.03 lower at S$0.48, ahead of the announcement.
