Thomson Medical Group names Cassandra Loh as acting CEO for its Singapore operations
She will take over from Lee Suen Ming, who will be leaving to ‘pursue personal interests’
[SINGAPORE] Thomson Medical Group – controlled by billionaire Peter Lim – has announced the new leadership for its Singapore operations.
Cassandra Loh, currently chief commercial officer of Thomson Medical Singapore, will take on the role of acting chief executive officer of the Singapore business on Jul 1, 2026.
She will take over from the current CEO, Lee Suen Ming, 56; he will be stepping down from his role after close to three years. His last day with the group will be Aug 31.
The mainboard-listed group’s filing with the Singapore Exchange stated the reason for Lee’s departure as: “Resignation to pursue personal interests”.
The group has operations in Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Loh, 36, will continue to oversee her chief commercial officer responsibilities, bringing closer alignment between the commercial strategy and overall leadership of the Singapore operations, the group said in a press statement on Monday (Jun 1).
“The leadership transition comes as Thomson Medical Singapore moves into the next phase of its transformation, following the foundational work initiated in 2022,” it added.
Dr Melvin Heng, group CEO of Thomson Medical Group, thanked Lee for his “service, commitment and steady leadership over the past few years”.
Meanwhile, Loh brings a strong mix of commercial discipline, healthcare experience, partnerships, operations and growth, he added.
In its statement, the group said that the Singapore business will continue to build on its trusted position in fertility, maternity and paediatrics, while expanding non-maternity service lines to support families across more of their healthcare needs – from fertility and pregnancy to childhood, recovery, ageing and the different health milestones in between.
In recent years, the Singapore business has expanded its healthcare specialities to include orthopaedics, oncology, ENT (ear, nose and throat), and general surgery, in addition to doubling down on its stronghold on fertility with the establishment of a second fertility centre.
Loh said: “My focus will be to work closely with our teams and partners to strengthen how we execute, grow with discipline, and continue building services around the real needs of patients and families.”
Her earlier roles span organisations including Intellect, Cigna Singapore and IHH Healthcare, where she worked across strategic partnerships, corporate health solutions, hospital operations, healthcare innovation and market expansion.
