Singapore Airlines extends cancellation of Dubai flights until Aug 2
[SINGAPORE] A Facebook post by national carrier Singapore Airlines on Wednesday (May 6) noted that the airline has cancelled its Dubai flights to and from Singapore until Aug 2, due to the “geopolitical situation” in the Middle East.
The affected flights are:
- SQ494 departing Singapore for Dubai
- SQ495 departing Dubai for Singapore
The move comes after a suspension of the same two flights until end-May this year, which was previously reported by The Business Times.
SIA said in the post that other flights by the airline could be affected, too, as the situation remains “fluid.”
“Customers affected by the flight cancellations will be reaccommodated on alternative flights or can seek a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket,” it said on Wednesday.
Shares of SIA ended Wednesday 0.5 per cent or S$0.03 higher at S$6.29.
