Logistics tech firm Haulio seals undisclosed pre-Series A round, eyes regional expansion

SINGAPORE-BASED logistics technology company Haulio has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-Series A investment round.

Supply Chain Angels (SCAngels), the corporate venture arm of end-to-end supply management and logistics company YCH Group, was one of the investors leading the round. Other investors include B7 Capital, GHS Ventures, Guava Capital, iSeed SEA, Iterative and PSA unboXed.

This marks the final close of Haulio's pre-Series A round - the last one was led by ComfortDelGro Ventures and PSA unboXed.

The fresh funds will go into furthering Haulio's expansion plans in the region. The startup already has a presence in Indonesia and Thailand, and aims to expand within South-east Asia by 2025. It is also looking to complete the digitalisation of haulage in the region by that time.

Following the investment from YCH, Haulio will collaborate with YCH's Y3 Technologies, an omnichannel software solutions provider, to develop an industry standard for digital innovation in container trucking using Haulio's haulier-centric solutions.

Isaac Chua, partner of SCAngels and head of corporate investments at YCH, said the collaboration will enable Haulio to tap Asean's growing e-commerce logistics industry.

"With this partnership, Haulio will be able to leverage on YCH Group's leading expertise on end-to-end supply chain and logistics management and embed themselves into the knowledge-based, LEARN™ ecosystem at Supply Chain City, Asia's nerve centre for supply chain excellence, located at the heart of the Jurong Innovation District," Mr Chua noted.
