Suntec City rolls out enhanced safety measures and tenant support for Phase 2
SUNTEC Real Estate Investment Trust's flagship property in Singapore, Suntec City, on Thursday announced that it was stepping up its health and safety measures, as well as introducing additional support for its mall tenants through Phase 2 (Heightened Alert).
Aside from continuing high-frequency cleaning and disinfection of common spaces and high-touch areas, the property said temperature screening and the TraceTogether-only SafeEntry system would be "strictly enforced" for all mall and office visitors.
All vehicles accessing the property's car park will be given an extended 30-minute grace period for the benefit of delivery drivers, riders and shoppers.
The mall has also designated separate dining areas within its Food Republic and Big Appetite food courts. These demarcated dining areas will be exclusively available to safe distancing ambassadors, safe management inspectors, enforcement officers and food delivery riders.
Suntec City said it hopes such an initiative will "play a small part in helping these essential personnel perform their roles during this difficult time".
As for its mall tenants, the property said it will provide in-mall and digital marketing support for all tenants affected by the stricter government measures in place during Phase 2. It will continue to provide rental support "in a calibrated manner on a case-by-case basis" to tenants deemed adversely impacted by the new measures and restrictions.
The property will also be waiving payment gateway fees and commission for participating food and beverage tenants on its Suntec+ Eats platform.
Flexibility for tenants to shorten their store operating hours, to reduce operating costs during this period, will be allowed as well.
