Man gets 10 years’ jail for throwing pipe bomb at Japan ex-PM: reports

A MAN was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Wednesday for attempting to kill Japan’s ex-prime minister Fumio Kishida with a pipe bomb in 2023, local media said.

Taro Kono is known for his showmanship on X, where he speaks frankly to his 2.5 million followers, as well as his occasional disregard for red tape and formalities.
