Oxpay SG’s partner terminates agreement over alleged breach of clause; merchant transactions affected

LICENSED payments provider Oxpay Financial announced on Tuesday (May 30) that Worldpay, a payments processing company, has sought to terminate a payment facilitation agreement with its unit Oxpay SG.

OxPay on Jan 10 announced the resignation of Tan, who intended to “pursue other career opportunities”, according to the company.

OXPAY Financial’s managing director Tan Chee Keong has “mutually agreed” with the company to depart on Feb 1, five months earlier than he was supposed to, OxPay said on Wednesday (Jan 18).

OxPay is also working on collaborations with Visa, Mastercard and banks, in relation to enabling BNPL and lending platforms, and expects this to be launched in Q1 2023
