I REFER to the article “Grab’s acquisition of Trans-cab would significantly reduce competition, says competition watchdog” (BT, Jul 11).

With the competition watchdog's provisional decision out, Grab and Trans-cab (one of its taxis, above) have 10 days to respond to the concerns raised.

CCCS says that Grab’s proposal actions do not fully address the issue that the proposed acquisition may give the super-app operator “the ability and incentive to leverage its ownership of the Trans-cab fleet”.
