Singapore CAN you put a price on style? If you’re Audi, that price is S$9,566, which is how many beans separate the Q3 from the Q3 Sportback. The former is a family-friendly Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), while the latter is a slightly more slinky version of the same family-friendly SUV.
You can actually measure that slinkiness, too. Both Q3s are more or less identical under the skin, but the Sportback is 29 mm lower and 16mm longer, which gives it more classically rakish proportions. If I lay down on the floor, I wouldn’t mind being a bit lower (especially around the stomach) and longer, either.
Lots of little details and designer tricks on this car delight the eye, too. The Q3 Sportback’s roof sweeps gracefully down to its backside while its window line has a sporty upward kick, and there’s a tailgate spoiler to visually elongate the roof itself.
