A brave new whirl in Beijing
At Beijing’s auto show, a bewildering array of new brands suggests that China has flipped the script on its relationship with foreign car companies
[BEIJING] I say this as a lifelong car guy, but stepping into a Chinese motor show has been the most bewildering experience of my life.
That might have something to do with the fact that my Mandarin is so atrocious it would make an ACS boy snicker.
Or maybe it’s because, like everything else about China, the Beijing motor show is on a scale too grand for the puny human mind to contemplate, or more accurately, for puny human legs to finish walking through.
