After all, unlike other citizens they are able to use the so-called “bully pulpit”, their position of authority in the form of the White House that provides them with an outstanding opportunity to get their message across to the people.
Hence if the president’s press secretary announces that his boss will soon address the nation, you can be sure that the event would be broadcast live on all the major cable news channels.
