What will set Singapore’s young jobseekers apart in 2026?
The answer lies in a smarter blend of AI and human capabilities
MORE than half of Singaporeans plan to look for a new job in 2026, according to a LinkedIn study released on Thursday (Jan 8).
The 58 per cent figure is down from last year’s 68 per cent, reflecting a broader mood of caution, particularly among millennials (aged 29 to 44) and those from Generation X (45 to 60), who say economic uncertainty is holding them back.
This hesitancy isn’t universal, however. In the global study that polled 1,000 people in Singapore, Gen Z (aged 18 to 28) stands out as the most optimistic generation, with 66 per cent intending to explore new roles.
