Certis to extend free temperature-tracking platform to SMEs

Published Mon, Jul 27, 2020 · 11:48 AM

SECURITY firm Certis announced on Monday that it will extend its temperature-tracking platform, iTemp, to over 270,000 businesses including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore, as a way togive back to the community amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Designed and developed by Certis, iTemp helps businesses track their employees' well-being and detect anomalies through real-time insights into their health status on a single dashboard. It collates information such as an employee's temperature and respiratory symptoms like shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, sore throat and cough.

The platform will be rolled out from Aug 11.

Ronald Poon, chief executive for Singapore at Certis, said: "We understand that many businesses, especially the SMEs, are focused on managing and sustaining their operations as Singapore opens up in phases. Hence, this initiative is our effort to help them lean on technology to safeguard the health and well-being of their employees."

Business and industry associations like the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) have shown their support for the initiative. Through SICC's network, for example, Certis will be able to reach out to over 500 of its corporate members in Singapore.

Certis will partner these business and industry associations associations to drive further awareness and adoption of iTemp amongst SMEs.

"iTemp is relevant for all businesses and will help many, which currently use pen and paper or excel spreadsheets to record the health data of their teams," said SICC's chief executive Victor Mills.

To sign up for iTemp, SMEs can visit its website to register for a business account. The platform can be rolled out within a day; thereafter, businesses can track the health status of their employees - be it at home or in the office.
