ACCREDIFY raised US$7 million in its Series A round led by iGlobe Partners and SIG Venture Capital, with participation from returning investors including Pavilion Capital and Qualgro.
The company intends to use the funds to further invest in its Sydney office and to open a new office in Japan. It currently operates in nine markets.
The startup also has plans to diversify the use cases of verifiable technology solutions across various industries such as human resources and finance, and build on its footprint in the education, healthcare and aviation industries, it said on Thursday (Apr 20).
Founded in 2019, the tech company uses blockchain to ensure the authenticity of a document that is shared or received through a digital verification process.
“The team at Accredify has been building on this for years and are now seeing exciting traction serving industry leaders across multiple verticals,” said Blake Ong of SIG Venture Capital.
“As more countries continue to chart towards their digital ambitions we believe that trust technologies like Accredify’s are foundational to enabling that secured connected future.”
Accredify’s chief executive and co-founder Quah Zheng Wei said he is looking forward to working with their investors and leveraging their global networks to bring their digital trust technology to governments and enterprises across the region.
