SINGAPORE has granted 7,959 vaccinated travel passes (VTPs) for travellers from Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Finland and Sweden on Nov 22, the first day applications opened for quarantine-travel to Singapore from these 5 countries.

These passes were issued for entry into Singapore on or after Nov 29. More than half, or 4,124 passes, were granted to travellers from Malaysia, according to an update from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore on Tuesday (Nov 23).

A total of 2,681 passes were issued to travellers from Indonesia, 1,126 to travellers from India, 19 to travellers from Sweden, and 9 to travellers from Finland.

As at the end of Nov 22, 68,531 VTPs have been issued to travellers from 18 countries under the quarantine-free vaccinated travel lanes (VTLs) scheme. The first of these travel lanes opened on Sep 8, to Germany and Brunei.

Only short-term visitors and long-term pass holders travelling via VTLs will need to apply for a VTP to enter Singapore.

Fully vaccinated Singapore citizens and permanent residents, as well as children aged 12 and below, do not need to apply for a VTP to enter Singapore via a VTL.

All VTL travellers must take two Covid-19 tests - the first must be a PCR test or professionally-administered Antigen Rapid Test (or ART), within 2 days before departing for Singapore; the second is a PCR test on arrival at Changi Airport.
