Media is transforming; journalism education needs to change too

A revamped approach will provide options and give students a career head start

    THE Business Times (BT)‘s audience team is undergoing a rebuild to replace colleagues who have moved on to seek new challenges.

    Sifting through the resumes sent in response to one of our job advertisements, it became increasingly clear to me that it wouldn’t be an easy task to find a suitable candidate to fill the position.

    One of the reasons is likely that audience-related roles in a digital newsroom are still not well understood by people, both inside and outside of it.
