Office rents in central region rise 0.8% in Q2: URA
The islandwide office vacancy rate increases to 11% as at end-Q2
[SINGAPORE] Rentals for office space in Singapore’s central region rose 0.8 per cent in the second quarter of 2026 over the preceding quarter.
This contrasts with a 0.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter drop in the first quarter of 2026.
Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) data released on Friday (Jul 24) also showed that the islandwide vacancy rate of office space rose to 11 per cent as at the end of Q2 2026, from 10.8 per cent as at the end of Q1 2026.
The amount of occupied office space increased by 8,000 square metres (sq m) of net lettable area (NLA) in Q2 2026, after expanding by 26,000 sq m in the previous quarter.
The stock of office space increased by 19,000 sq m of NLA in Q2 2026, compared with the increase of 8,000 sq m in the previous quarter.
As at the end of Q2 2026, there was a total supply of about 848,000 sq m of gross floor area of office space in the pipeline, lower than the 867,000 sq m as at the end of the previous quarter.
URA’s price index for office space in the central region increased 0.4 per cent quarter on quarter in Q2, after rising 0.2 per cent quarter on quarter in Q1.
