US sectoral stocks taking turns on vaccine headlines
THE US stock market is tracking a race against the clock as stimulus negotiators, vaccine makers and transition officials attempt to save the US and its economy from a second wave of Covid-19 before it is too late.
The holiday season, which begins this week with the celebration of Thanksgiving, is usually a boom for the US's services-based economy and, hence, the stock market.
But this week, the direction of the stock market is more likely to be set by case counts and political negotiations.
