Malaysia: Shares close higher on Wednesday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 16.78 points to 1.583.50.
Volume was 11.808 billion lots worth RM4.355 billion.
Gainers outnumbered losers 687 to 369.
