ECB's inaction, mixed US earnings dent Asian sentiment
INVESTORS have been putting more hope on dovishness from central banks to combat easing global growth. In other words, accommodative policy stances is having a heavier effect on sentiment.
Its effect was clearly felt in Friday's session in Asia. Markets broadly fell after the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to keep interest rates unchanged and announced no quantitative easing plans despite acknowledging economic weakness in the euro zone.
Thursday's mixed earnings session on Wall Street also put a dampener on sentiment during Friday's session in Asia.
