Tokyo: Stocks open higher as US jobs data eyed

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened slightly higher on Friday, underpinned by a solid performance on Wall Street while investors waited for key US jobs data.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.10 per cent or 22.11 points to 21,747.06 in early trade while the broader Topix index was up 0.16 per cent or 2.62 points at 1,622.67.
