Digital initiatives to help logistics SMEs launched

A NETWORK of common parcel lockers and a platform that allows large shippers to sell unused cargo space at a discount to smaller shippers will soon be a reality in Singapore - under a new Industry Digital Plan (IDP) that has been launched for logistics small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as part of Singapore's Logistics Industry Transformation Map.

The IDP was unveiled on Wednesday by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). For starters, it is an online guide that provides step-by-step advice to logistics SMEs on the digital solutions required at each stage of their business growth in the digital economy, said IMDA.

Via the IDP, IMDA will continue to put up digital solutions that it has pre-approved - such as in customer management or data analytics - on Tech Depot, a one-stop platform for tech solutions under the SME Portal website.
