Tokyo: Stocks open lower on Friday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Friday as investors continued to cash in on the recent gains following a negative lead from Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index fell 1.26 per cent, or 288.01 points, to 22,580.70 in early trade while the broader Topix index was down 1.10 per cent, or 19.88 points, at 1,793.23.
