Basic pay for security officers to rise by S$300 over next 3 years; overtime exemption removed

THE government has accepted recommendations calling for higher monthly wages and shorter working hours for security officers.
Between 2019 and 2021, the basic pay of these workers will go up by around S$300 a month; they will also be given yearly increments of at least 3 per cent between 2022 and 2024.
