Singapore shares open up on Friday

SINGAPORE share prices opened higher on Friday with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 9.99 points to 3,344.90 as at 9.02 am. The S&P 500 clipped to another record, but Europe closed lower.
Top gainers in early morning trade included Keppel, and City Developments.
Some 80.5 million shares worth S$112.8 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 90 to 38.
