THE new line-up of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, revealed on Wednesday, points to no real successor to the party leader, President Xi Jinping, who was appointed for a second term.
The composition of the new members of the elite seven-member Standing Committee also signals a continuation of Mr Xi's present policies with stronger focus on reform looking forward.
