US industrial production rises 0.2% in July
[WASHINGTON] US industrial production rose slightly less than expected in July, the US Federal Reserve said on Thursday.
Industrial output rose 0.2 per cent after an unrevised 0.4 per cent increase in June.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast industrial production increasing 0.3 per cent in July.
The data was released earlier than expected. A Fed spokesman said the central bank inadvertently published the data on its website before its scheduled release.
