Majority support for Healthway resolutions possibly due to Lippo vote
95.2% vote for S$60 million convertible notes to be issued to Gateway
Singapore
POSSIBLE swing votes by Lippo-linked Gentle Care could have lent the overwhelming support to the resolutions passed at Healthway Medical Corporation's (HMC) extraordinary general meeting.
The edgy session also saw minority shareholders' minor victory in getting Gateway Partners' verbal commitment to stay with the company for the long term, and not just an intention to do so. As many as 95.2 per cent voted for the S$60 million convertible notes to be issued to Gateway while 4.8 per cent voted against it.
