Hong Kong: Stocks extend losses at start of week
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened sharply lower on Monday, putting them on track for a third successive loss as investors row back on a recent rally ahead of a speech to Congress by Donald Trump this week.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.53 per cent, or 127.84 points, to 23,837.86.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.13 per cent, or 4.24 points, to 3,249.19, but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, inched 0.06 per cent higher, or 1.25 points, to 2,001.63.
