QIAN Hu Corporation's third quarter net profit plummeted 94.6 per cent to S$5,000 from the previous year, as its fish and accessories business segments contributed far less to earnings. Qian Hu said operating profitability of the ornamental fish segment fell because of a different sales mix in fish exports. Revenue for the three months ended Sept 30, 2016, rose 10.1 per cent to S$19.6 million.
Third quarter earnings per share dropped to 0.01 Singapore cent from 0.08 Singapore cent. Qian Hu shares closed 4.44 per cent or 0.4 Singapore cent lower on Monday at 8.6 Singapore cents per share.
