Stakeholder expectations morph and benchmarks keep moving. So core competencies and capabilities must be monitored all the time.
THERE is an increasingly loud clamour for boards to improve the performance of their companies. This means, among other things, that directors have to ensure that corporate assets are used productively to create value, continuously, for the company's stakeholders.
To satisfactorily deliver the requisite level of performance, however, requires an understanding of what stakeholders expect. Just who are these stakeholders and, more to the point, what are their expectations?
