Hong Kong: Stocks stumble at open on Middle East fears

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares started the new year on a negative note, slipping in early trade as investors keep a wary eye on the Middle East with tensions growing between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong fell 1.22 per cent, or 268.39 points, to 21,646.01 soon after the opening bell.
