Stocks to watch: SingPost, Silverlake Axis, Annica, Vallianz
THE following companies made announcements after the market closed on Wednesday that may affect their trading on Thursday:
Singapore Post (SingPost), in response to the queries by Singapore Exchange after an inexplicable dive in its shares on Wednesday, said it is not aware of any information previously not announced that may explain the trading activity.
Silverlake Axis said on Wednesday an independent review by Deloitte Singapore has cleared the group of allegations in an anonymous shortselling report released in August last year. The report had suggested wrongdoing in relation to certain related-party transactions.
Vallianz Holdings is buying two newbuilt vessels for US$21.8 million, to be paid in shares and cash.
Annica Holdings chairman, who is assisting the Commercial Affairs Department in its probe of the penny stock crash, is stepping into a new role at the firm. The firm has appointed him as chief operating officer, and also Sandra Liz Hon Ai Ling as its new CEO.
