Hot stock: Interplex Holdings' shares surge after takeover offer
[SINGAPORE] Shares in Singapore-listed Interplex Holdings surged over 11 per cent at the start of trading on Thursday after a takeover offer from Baring Private Equity Asia.
Shares opened at S$0.79, the highest in over a month.
On Wednesday, Baring Private Equity Asia said it was looking to offer S$450 million to buy the engineering company, majority owned by CVC Capital Partners and the private equity arm of Standard Chartered.
