'Smart beta' ETFs popular in US, little known in S'pore

THEY are all the rage in the exchange-traded fund (ETF) space in the US and are gathering more assets. But "smart beta" ETFs are still relatively unknown here for the non-institutional market, and volumes are still negligible, industry insiders said.
Private bankers told The Business Times that these ETFs are not well understood, and do not fit into their offerings.
