SUPPORTERS of Aung San Suu Kyi's pro-democracy party on Monday cheered in growing excitement as early results from Myanmar's historic election boosted hopes of sweeping gains to carry it to power after decades of military dominance.
The chairman of Myanmar's ruling party has conceded defeat and would accept the result of the country's first free national election in 25 years.
