PM Lee, Najib take time off from Asean Summit to grace event

SINGAPORE Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak took time off from serious negotiations at the Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur on Friday to launch a cultural showcase that celebrates the five decades of friendship between their countries.
"Bagai aur dengan tebing," was how Mr Lee described Singapore-Malaysia relations. "The bamboo by the river bank" is a Malay proverb about coexisting through mutual dependency.
