Investigation uncovers causes of two Oct rail breakdowns
LTA working with SBS Transit to minimise recurrence

SWITCHGEAR malfunction and damage from sustained arcing were behind the two disruptions on the North-east Line (NEL) last month, investigations have revealed.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SBS Transit (SBST) announced this on Friday, following a probe into the causes of the rail service disruptions on Oct 13 and Oct 26 on the SBST-operated NEL.
