[JAKARTA] Indonesia's main stock index closed 3.23 per cent higher on Monday, outperforming other markets in the region, as disappointing US jobs data dented expectations of the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike this year.
The Jakarta composite index ended up 135 points at 4,343.7.
The rupiah strengthened more than 1 per cent to 14,490 per dollar, having touched its 17-year low last week.
