Singapore offers best returns for US MNCs in Asia-Pacific
Within the region, only Australia is host to a larger US investment - but only barely - than Singapore

US MNC operations in Singapore were still the most profitable in the Asia-Pacific region last year - and that's why US MNCs kept expanding and building new factories here.
US MNCs customarily plough a big chunk of their profits back into the business - they re-invested on average 75 per cent of their income from direct investments overseas in 2014, up from 68.0 per cent in 2013, according to the latest figures released by the US Department of Commerce.
