SINGAPORE shares opened marginally lower on Monday with the benchmark Straits Times Index falling 2.18 points or 0.09 per cent to 2,885.85 as at 9.03am.
This is despite gainers outpacing losers 100 to 48. Some 88.3 million shares worth S$81 million exchanged hands.
In the region, Asian shares edged up in cautious trade as investors wait to see if the US Federal Reserve will raise interest rates for the first time in a decade.
