Buying spread out across several sectors
THE buying rebounded sharply while the selling among directors was very low based on filings on the Exchange during the holiday-shortened week of September 21 to 25. A total of 20 companies recorded 47 purchases worth S$10.63 million versus one firm with one disposal worth S$0.09 million.
The buy figures were up from the previous week's 5-day totals of 19 companies, 40 purchases and S$4.3 million. There were no sales by directors in the previous week.
Meanwhile, the buyback activity remained high with 30 companies that posted 117 repurchases worth S$77.6 million.
