Taiwan: Stocks rise 2 per cent, tracking global markets rally

[TAIPEI] Taiwan stocks jumped 2 per cent shortly after opening on Friday, taking their cue from gains in regional markets and Wall Street.
As of 0116 GMT, the main TAIEX index was up 158.25 points to 7986.58, partially erasing large losses earlier in the week.
